Barbecued Spareribs

4 lb spareribs

1 large onion, sliced

1 cup ketchup

1 cup water

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup vinegar

2 Tbsp Worchestershire sauce

1/2 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp prepared mustard

1/4 tsp garlic powder


Cut ribs into serving size pieces. Put into roaster. Scatter onion over top. Mix remaining ingredients together well. Pour over all. Cover. Bake in 350F oven for 1 1/2 hours, Uncover and bake 20-30 minutes more. Serves 6
